In the performance Natten Natten Flyger, the audience is invited into the spacebetween day and night. There, in the moment between wakefulness and sleep, the room begins to change. Shadows stretch along the walls, small sounds grow louder, and something moves in the darkness.
A moth has moved in.
At first, all that can be heard is the flutter of her wings against the lamp. Then her shadow appears, as large as a dragon. As the night unfolds, everything begins to transform. Bodies, walls and objects take on lives of their own, drawing the audience into a playful and dreamlike nightscape where nothing is quite as it seems.
Natten Natten Flyger is a dance performance about darkness, imagination and the feeling of being a little misunderstood. Through movement, scenography and music, the performance explores the magic of night and the moment when the world becomes unfamiliar, larger and full of possibilities.
How do you dance when no one is really watching? And who do you want to be when dusk falls?
